Usually we called him “Nong BoyArmando Cordova a community leader and self-employed entrepreneur. Manong Boy is a self-made agriculturist and advocate of urban farming in highly urbanized Barangay Fatima, General Santos City.



More people around the world are taking a look at urban farming and one of those is Manong Boy who offers to make food as “local” as possible. He advocate for green living through maximum utilization of home backyard. He said, urban farming advance the local people to grow what they need near where they live, and decrease the food miles linked with long-distance transportation. This also get the freshest produce money can buy, and we are encouraged to eat in season.
